The Donnas 'Take It Off'
The Donnas are an American rock band formed in Palo Alto, California in 1993. 'Take It Off' is a track from 'Spend the Night' their fifth studio album.

'The Donnas' consisted of Brett Anderson (lead vocals), Allison Robertson (guitar, backing vocals), Maya Ford (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Amy Cesari (drums, percussion, backing vocals).

Cesari replaced Torry Castellano, who left the band in 2009 due to tendonitis.

They draw inspiration from the Ramones, The Runaways, Girlschool, AC/DC, Bachman–Turner Overdrive and Kiss.

Rolling Stone has stated that "the Donnas offer a guileless take on adolescent alienation; they traffic in kicks, not catharsis, fun rather than rage".

'Spend the Night' is the fifth studio album and major label debut by the American hard rock band The Donnas, released in 2002 on Atlantic Records and featured the track 'Take It Off'.

It was the band's first charting record on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 62, and features their most successful single, "Take It Off", which peaked at 19 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.

In November 2016 Cherry Red Records re-released the album to feature six bonus tracks, which consist of B-sides and songs from previous albums.

Comments:

Johnny Alexander

Perhaps the most underrated all female group of all time.

Dirk Diggler

The Donnas were completely under appreciated and it's disgusting. This album was a rock n roll classic

Alexander Steiner

Seriously though, these chicks rock harder than 95% of male bands. Love these girls.

offthericta

Epic. Any bloke would be proud of that guitar tone. True rock. Love it.

Blastbeat Industries

It's 2019 and I'm still taking it off. My employer doesn't appreciate it but I'm comfortable with it.

Ray Quigley

That is rock - roll. Any other opinions are nul and void.

Guada

I just gonna say that I'm here for the guitar hero, someone else?. Yeah, I'm still having the ps2, and what's the problem?

Lais Valdemarca

The ignorant idiots who say womans can't rock never heard The Donnas, Joan Jett and Scandal.
