Many people believe he was the very first Dally M recipient however it's since been revealed that St.George half-back Steve "Slippery" Morris won the inaugural award in 1979.
At the time it was presented by the Daily Mirror newspaper but wasn't officially recognised by the League until 2018.
"Rocky" played 122 First Grade Games and scored 28 tries during his Career with Eastern Suburbs (1976-77), South Sydney (1978-80) and Easts again (1981-82).
He also picked up Rep Jumpers with City, Country and NSW.
When Robert returned to Wauchope he Captain-Coached the Blues for 3 Seasons winning a Premiership. He was also selected as the Captain of the Northern Division side that faced Great Britain in Tamworth in 1988.
The Local Side caused a major upset defeating the Tourists by 36 to 12. Then in 2017 he was inducted into the Group 3 Rugby League Hall of Fame.
His younger brother Mark also achieved great success in Sydney with the Parramatta Eels where he played 205 First Grade Games over 11 seasons and included Premiership victories in 1982, 83 and '86!
"Pebbles" was originally a Centre before being shifted into the forwards as a Lock. He represented NSW Country and spent a couple of off-seasons with Leeds and Salford in the UK.
