Sunrise Supported Living offers a unique alternative to aged care. Residents live in their own fully self-contained one- or two-bedroom villa unit, where they’re encouraged to live as independently as they can.

Sunrise offers the freedom and the independence of a retirement village with all the support of a traditional aged care facility.

Sunrise believes that Seniors want to live and to be as independent as they possibly can be, however have the comfort of knowing Fully qualified carers who are supported by a full time Registered Nurse, are on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing low and high care in the privacy of resident’s own homes.

Sunrise residents live in their own fully self-contained villa unit. This can be either one or two bedrooms, with either one or two bathrooms.

Sunrise units come fully equipped with all appliances. Each unit has its own sunny, private rear courtyard. The villa units at Sunrise Tuncurry are being built to very high standards.

All units come fully equipped with all appliances including air-conditioning, designer kitchens with granite benchtops, fully compliant Seniors bathrooms and high-quality finishes throughout.

Sunrise is also a fully approved, Accredited Home Care providers and can facilitate a Government Funded Home Care packages for residents.

The unique approach at Sunrise also allows couples to stay together, even if their care needs are different. For example, a husband may need a high level of care while the wife is still enjoying being active and social.

Knowing that her husband is being well taken care of by the onsite nursing staff, the wife can meet up with friends and take day trips with the other residents and not feel guilty about it. Guilt free time, that’s really important.

Meals are available for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week in our own Community Centre dining room to those residents who want them.

Most of the residents come up every day for lunch. Others just occasionally. The choice is always yours. The prices are extremely reasonable.

A fully catered morning tea is served everyday free of charge for all residents.

The Community Centre is also used for our resident activities. These include exercise classes, bingo, craft sessions, movie nights and regular visiting entertainers. It is totally up to the residents how much they want to participate in the village activities.

They also have weekly shopping trips and regular outings in the village bus.
