Simply Red, Hall & Oates 'No Can Do'
Best re-mix of all time ? An amazing mashup that I discovered. All the credits go to Hall & Oates (I Can't Go For That), Simply Red (Sunrise) and, of course, the creator of this mix.

Daryl Hall & John Oates, often referred to as Hall & Oates, are an American pop rock duo formed in 1970 in Philadelphia. Daryl Hall is generally the lead vocalist; John Oates primarily plays electric guitar and provides backing vocals.

The two write most of the songs they perform, separately or in collaboration. They achieved their greatest fame from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s with a fusion of rock and roll and rhythm and blues.

Hall and Oates have sold an estimated 40 million records, making them the best selling music duo in history.

They are best known for their six No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "Rich Girl", "Kiss on My List", "Private Eyes", "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", "Maneater", and "Out of Touch", as well as many other songs which charted in the Top 40 including the singles "You Make My Dreams", "She's Gone", "Say It Isn't So and "Sara Smile".

In total, they had 34 chart hits on the US Billboard Hot 100, seven RIAA platinum albums, and six RIAA gold albums.

Billboard magazine named them the most successful duo of the rock era, surpassing Simon & Garfunkel and The Everly Brothers.

Billboard magazine had Hall and Oates at No. 15 on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time and the No. 1 duo, while VH1 placed the duo as No. 99 on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.

They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2014. On September 2, 2016, they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Simply Red are a British soul and pop band which formed in Manchester in 1985.

The lead vocalist of the band is singer and songwriter Mick Hucknall, who, by the time the band initially disbanded in 2010, was the only original member left.

Since the release of their debut studio album Picture Book (1985), they have had ten songs reach top 10 in the UK Singles Chart, including "Holding Back the Years" and "If You Don't Know Me by Now", both of which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The band re-formed in 2015. Simply Red have sold over 50 million albums.

This is one smooth, smooth mix. The original was Gangsta, but this piece is definitely one of those jams that make you want to boogie all night. I get it the new millennium is here, but dam I miss those 70's and very early grooves! Keep bangin y'all. ONE!

This mix is the freaking BOMB. The original is an awesome groove, the Hucknall version beefs it up so divinely and muscularly, and this remix... the freaking BOMB.

Fun fact: during recording of "We Are The World" Michael Jackson told Hall and Oates he was sorry for "stealing" the bass line from this for Billie Jean. And they were like "Um, dude, no you didn't." And I suppose if you try hard you can kinda hear it, but Billie Jean is slower and maudlin. It just shows what a different time that was. Greatness inspiring greatness.

Speaking about the meaning of the lyrics, John Oates has stated that while many listeners may assume the lyrics are about a relationship, in reality, the song, "is about the music business. That song is really about not being pushed around by big labels, managers, and agents and being told what to do, and being true to yourself creatively." This was done intentionally, he explained, to universalize the topic
