Chloe Zhao wins 'Best Picture' & 'Best Director' for 'Nomadland' and makes Oscars history
In the Oscar winning film Frances McDormand stars as a woman who leaves her hometown after her husband dies and travels around the United States in her van.
Chloe Zhao's Oscar wins rounds off a stellar awards season for Zhao, who also won best director at the Globes, BAAFTAs and AACTAs.
She's also the first woman to win 'Best Director' since 2009 when Kathryn Bigelow won for 'The hurt locker'.
Chloe is also the first Asian woman to win in the category.
First winner of a major Oscar was Daniel Kaluuya for 'Best Supporting Actor' in 'Judas and the Black Messiah'.

The Oscars ceremony will be broadcast live in Australia on free-to-air TV on Channel Seven and its streaming platform 7Plus.
Who is hosting the Oscars?
And the Oscar host goes to … no-one.
For the third year in a row, the ceremony will be host-less.
The last person to host the Oscars was late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in 2018.
Kevin Hart was due to take up the mantle in 2019 but stepped down after homophobic tweets from 2009 resurfaced.
That year the ceremony rated well without a host, and given that the job is seen as somewhat of a "poisoned chalice", the chair remains vacant.
Instead an ensemble cast will present: Riz Ahmed, Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Viola Davis, Bong Joon-ho, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Laura Dern, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno, Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger and Zendaya.
Here's how this year will be different?
The show is being held at Los Angeles's iconic Union Station for the first time, in addition to the usual Dolby Theatre.
In a bid to have as many people attend in-person as possible, there will also be international locations included in the broadcast.
Here's the list of the most important nominations, the winners will be updated as they are announced.
