Woolies Lake Cathie & PortMac now 'Priority Delivery Hubs'
From Thursday, 2 April, Woolworths Lake Cathie and Port Macquarie will be transformed into ‘Priority Delivery Hubs’ and will have reduced trading hours from 9am-6pm, M-Sun.

Woolworths has announced this week that it will continue to scale its online delivery capacity over the next week to help meet the essential food and grocery needs of the growing number of customers in self-isolation because of COVID-19.

This includes initiatives like launching the ‘Woolworths Basics Box’ and transforming another 100 supermarkets into Priority Delivery Hubs to get more home deliveries to ‘Priority Assistance’ customers.

From Thursday, 2 April, Woolworths Lake Cathie and Port Macquarie will be transformed into a ‘Priority Delivery Hub’ and will have reduced trading hours from 9am-6pm, Monday -Sunday.

Woolworths will use the additional hours the stores are not open to customers to pick online orders, with a focus on meeting the increased demand from ‘Priority Assistance’ customers which includes the elderly, people with disability, those with compromised immunity and people in mandatory isolation.

Please note that as a result of these changes, Community Hour will not be available at these stores.

Statement from Woolworths Supermarkets Managing Director Claire Peters:

"At Woolworths we are focused on supporting the most vulnerable in the community during these challenging times.

"To help support getting basic food and essentials to those that need it most, our teams have been doing everything they can to scale up online and home deliveries to the elderly, people with disabilities or those in mandatory self-isolation.

"Following an extraordinary level of demand for groceries in recent weeks, reducing trading hours in some of our stores to turn them into ‘Priority Delivery Hubs’ will help us assist more people who can’t access a store to get products they need.
