Paul Mac 'Just The Thing'
Aussie dancefloor banger classic ! We've bailed out the crib, dried out the Hi-Fi & we are ready to hit the dance floor with 'Just the Thing' - A swathe of Aussie deep house & disco tropes - Awesome!
Consumer Advice : Need you ask the question - 'How loud is to loud ? How much bass is to much bass ? You've got two versions of this classic here: #1 radio version - followed by #2 extended remix - then #3 a mini-doc on the making of the song & album! The tracks automatically play one after another - enjoy the Port Macquarie sunshine!
'Just the Thing' was written & recorded by Australian singer-songwriter and music producer Paul Mac.
The track features the vocals of Peta Morris. The song was released in June 2001 as the second single from Mac's debut studio album 3000 Feet High. 'Just the Thing' peaked at number 17 on the Australian ARIA Charts and was certified gold.
At the ARIA Music Awards of 2001, the song was nominated for Best Male Artist and Best Dance Release. At the APRA Music Awards of 2002 the song won the APRA Award for Most Performed Dance Work.
'Just the Thing' takes a swathe of deep house and disco tropes and turns them into an indelible hands-in-the-air jam. What a hook, and what a voice; Paul Mac's most successful single is an all-time funky house belter!"

Cate Eastaway I was in the Navy and a Newtown girl as well in the late 90's. God what a double life. Lived in a converted warehouse above Clem's Chicken on King Street. I was a weekend mess and a weekday angel xx
