PM Scott 'ScoMo' Morrison has thanked SES volunteers who have been at the frontline of the flood emergency.
He passed on his thanks to them for all their efforts.
The Prime Minister also attended an emergency operations briefing which brought together a range of agencies and organisations.
The combined effort of the agencies saved lives and made a safer community, the briefing heard.
More more 1000 requests for assistance were received in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area.
Some 327 of those were flood rescues.
The Prime Minister's visit comes amid the flood recovery effort after floods battered the region.
Port Macquarie SES Unit volunteer Scott Eisenhutt was among the SES volunteers to meet Mr Morrison.
"It was a bit of a surreal experience," Mr Eisenhutt said.
The Riverside Drive resident is into his seventh week as a SES volunteer.
He has been impressed at the camaraderie between the states and different units.
