Port Macquarie went 'Pink' for Cancer Research last sunday
Port Macquarie was transform into a sea of pink this Sunday when hundreds of citizens pounded the pavement raising awareness for breast cancer.

News Story Summary:

After going virtual last year, the annual Mother’s Day Classic is returned to its traditional form.

Westport Park was 'Thinking pink' on Sunday when the annual 'Mother's Day Classic' got underway in support of breast cancer research.

Citizens could walk or run 5kms and get active for breast cancer research.

This was the Classic's sixth year in Port Macquarie raising vital funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation's research projects.

The event also supports the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute.

Event organiser, Kylie Bulmer, was excited that the event is on again in 2021.

"We're really looking forward to this year's event in Port Macquarie," Ms Bulmer said.

"We can't wait to get back to Westport Park and paint this town pink again.
