Iranian President Rouhani calls for a 'Unity of Islamic countries to oppose the Zionist occupation' of Palestine.

The website of the Iranian President, Mr. Rouhani, has welcomed the stance of Qatar in condemning the recent actions of the Zionist regime in Al-Aqsa Mosque and severe attacks and crimes committed by Israel against Gaza, saying bitter past few days and the crimes The Zionist regime reminds him more than ever of the need for unity and cooperation of Islamic countries to counter Zionist coercion and occupation.

In a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar on Thursday Mr. Rouhani said "It is necessary for Islamic countries to defend the Palestinian people and their freedom and to confront aggression and hostile actions".

Mr. Rouhani called Palestine a part of the Islamic world and added: "The attacks and aggressions of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and Gaza must be stopped immediately and we must not allow these oppressed people to be oppressed any more."

The President said that the synergy of Islamic countries with the Palestinian axis is a key goal, adding that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should play a more active role in the recent developments in Palestine.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, also congratulated the government and people of Iran on the Islamic Republic of Iran's position on the recent developments and conflicts in Palestine.

Al-Mayadin TV reported that Nasser Salahuddin battalions of the military branch of the People's Resistance Committees announced that a gathering of Zionist enemy vehicles near the Kisofim military base had been shelled by rockets.

Iran's top commander: Power balance changes in favor of Palestine.

Tehran, May 13, Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri on Thursday issued a statement to condemn the Zionist regime's recent cruelties.

In a message condemning the Zionist regime's recent atrocities and killing of Palestinians at the  Al-Aqsa Mosque, Major General Baqeri stressed the need to build a strong strategic and real coalition to resolve the Palestinian issue.

He added that the brutal crimes committed by the 'Child-killer Zionist regime' in the occupied territories and Holy Quds, has caused great sorrow to the world.

Referring to the resistance and intifada, Major General Baqeri emphasized that the balance of power has changed more than ever in favor of Palestine.

He reiterated that usurper Zionists will 'Burn in the flames of the wrath of the Islamic Resistance Front'.
