Port Macquarie : 'Beef Shin Tacos' video goes viral
One Port Macquarie based festival business has had to dramatically change it's focus, after festivals were shut down as a result of COVID & now their latest 'Meaty' video has gone supa-viral!

News Story Summary:

Originating in Port Macquarie, 'Meatstock' has become one of (if not the) largest paid food festivals in Australia and New Zealand.

Pre-pandemic, in 2019 just shy of 50,000 people attended Meatstock in Australia and New Zealand.

Cheering on Butchers and Barbecue teams; chowing down on meaty treats from food trucks, and being entertained by a thumping lineup of Rock and Blues bands.

What will happen to Meatstock if there are covid restrictions?

Due to Covid restrictions, if we cannot provide you the full Meatstock experience the event will be postponed to a new date. Your ticket will still be valid for any new dates.

What will the opening times be?

Saturday 11am-9pm Sunday 10am-6pm

How much is the food?

Each vendor has a different offering. Most plate/meal prices range from about $10-$25 depending on the amount and type.

Some vendors also do mega or jumbo boxes that will feed more than one person.

We suggest coming to the festival with a few friends and sharing meals so you can try as much as possible over the day.

What is on each day?

Meatstock is two full-on days of Barbecue and Grilling Competitions, Butcher Wars, Demonstrations, Barbecue Expo, Live Bands + Much more.

Both days will have a slightly different itineraries and a setlist of bands.

Our headline bands (House of Shem and Tex Perkins) are playing on Saturday.

A full detailed itinerary and setlist will be released 4 weeks out from the event on our social media platforms.

Are the lines long?

Meatstock prides itself on gathering some of the best and most unique vendors in the country.

However, good quality barbecue by nature is very time consuming for the pit-masters to cook and is not at all like fast food.

We do our best to make sure any queues for food are kept to an acceptable level and move as quickly as possible.

The wait times are generally the longest at around 1-2pm.

Can you guarantee all vendors will have food all day?

We have some of the biggest smokers in the country at Meatstock, however, even then they can only fit so much meat.

Some vendors do run out of menu items as the day progresses and/or take short breaks.

We will however always have a great selection of food available at all times.
