Laurieton: Men’s Shed’s future secure with $10k solar grant
Power bills can be an obstacle for many businesses – especially community businesses & now a $10,000 federal funding grant for solar panels will slashed the Laurieton Men's Shed power costs by half.

Laurieton Mens Shed Inc. promotes a better world for it's members.

Vision Statement:

The aim of Laurieton Men's Shed is to promote men's health and wellbeing by becoming the venue of choice in the local community where men of all ages can gather with a sense of belonging and in a spirit of mateship.

Mission Statement:

To provide a welcoming environment where men from all backgrounds, situations and cultures, can find friends, feel comfortable talking, learning about health issues, and benefit their own health through sharing of information, skills and knowledge while pursuing pastimes or hobbies of their own choosing.

Shed Activities:

Woodworking, Metalwork, Bee-Keeping, Choir, Gardening.

Computer & Smartphone Group plus Writers' Group

Social Get-Together on 3rd Friday of the month: Cards & Pool

Stall at Riverwalk Markets at Laurieton - 3rd Sunday of the Month.

Cook Up for Members at Lunch Time Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Tea & Coffee always Available- Have A Chat & Catchup with members.

The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA):

The Australian Men’s Shed Association is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.

The AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement.

It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed.

It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
