Coffs Harbour Greens Take Regional 'Tiny House' lead
The Greens are pushing for smaller house sizes to help ease housing affordability crisis on the Coffs Coast - Port Macquarie needs do the same & fast.

PortMac.News is a big supporter of the 'Tiny House' concept & it's great to hear that the Green's are pushing Coffs Harbour council regarding the idea of cutting plot size thus making Tiny House proliferation possible.

Coffs Harbour Greens are making news on 7news tonight and ABC radio 92.3 about the housing unaffordability crisis in Coffs.

They are calling on council to make a difference now with a range of recommendations.

The most controversial is the reduction in house lot sizes to 200m2.

Essentially, drop the size of land and the price should follow.

These 200m2 lots should not be a given for developers to cash in but a genuine attempt to solve a growing housing crisis.

At least they're having the debate.

The Green's will release their submission publically soon with much greater detail regarding their commitment to creating equality in their community, especially for people most at risk of falling through the cracks.
