Light It Up For Lifeline!
Lighting up your house is a festive tradition that seems to get bigger and brighter every year

Wauchope locals Trish and Brian Leslie have been merrily decorating and collecting lights for their house for over forty years now. Almost every inch of space is embellished in a spectacularly lit Christmas light display. It takes the couple three weeks preparation and boasts over 10 000 globes as they continue to add new lighting additions each year.

On Saturday December 22nd from 6:30 pm at 97 Cameron Street Wauchope, Trish and Brian will be holding a special fundraising event to support Lifeline Mid Coast.

The event will include all styles of music, bush poetry and the ukulele orchestra. For a gold coin donation, you can come and see their impressive house, garden and windows illuminating displays of light, nativity scenes and everything Christmas.

Chef Debbie Kennet will be cooking up a BBQ of delights of high-quality meat thanks to Meltique Beef Butchery and there will be soft drinks and coffee available. The Red Shed are donating marquees for the night and 2Way FM have been supporting Trish and Brian in organising and promoting the event.

Trish and Brian love how their house brings kids, families and whole communities together to share the joy and wonder of Christmas. And every year, the couple go to even greater lengths to dazzle onlookers!

Trish says, “It’s the perfect backdrop to really celebrate the season of giving by fundraising to help others. This year we are helping to raise vital funds to support Lifeline Mid Coast’s suicide prevention and awareness programs. Every dollar donated to their display will go towards saving Australian lives and we feel good about that.”

The event is on Saturday December 22nd starting at 6:30 pm at 97 Cameron Street, Wauchope. Gold coin donation.
