The $135,700 upgrades were joint-funded between us ($85,700) and the NSW Government ($50,000) through an Everyone Can Play Grant.
The Blair Reserve Playground in the Lighthouse Beach area in Port Macquarie has seen the existing facility upgrades, including new equipment and a concept design that aligns with the ‘Everyone Can Play Guidelines’ (www.everyonecanplay.nsw.gov.au).
The ‘Everyone Can Play Guidelines’ will ensure that the playground will be more accessible and inclusive to all members of the community, regardless of age, ability or cultural background.
The Blair Reserve playground upgrade includes ideas and feedback from the community consultation via the PMHC's 'Have Your Say' forum.
The Blair Reserve Playground Upgrade project builds on PMHC’s commitment to provide a large range of outdoor recreational spaces for our residents.
The project benefits will also extend to visitors to our region with the family sector being a key market within our visitor attraction strategy.
