Update #36 - 6:00pm, Wednesday 24 March 2021

We strongly urge people to not travel on the roads where possible.  Roads may be cut off by water, and there is an increased risk of landslips. Avoid driving through water.

Waste Services

Red, yellow and green bin domestic collection service by JR Richards

If you are in a flood affected area, JR Richards will collect your domestic bins as soon as possible. Please leave your full bins kerbside until collection can take place, when safe to do so. 

Council’s rural waste pickup service via JR Richards will be provided this Saturday, 27 March between:

8.30am and 10.30am at Byabarra Hall, and

11am and 1pm at Ellenborough Reserve.

Drop off for FREE - All waste facilities are open. 

Residents and businesses can drop-off for free any flood damaged waste. 

For large truck loads of flood damaged waste, please go to Cairncross. Small trailer/ute loads are accepted at the smaller waste transfer stations.

Please sort your waste into the following piles: (These are recyclable and are saved from going to landfill)

Green waste

White goods

Scrap metal

E-Waste such as computers and TV's

Mattresses

Household chemicals
