Landslides close Oxley Highway between Walcha & Yarras
Close to 100 landslips have occurred to the West of Port Macquarie as a result of recent floods, repairs could take anywhere from weeks to months.

News Story Summary:

NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance said initial estimates put the cost at $80 million but the total price is impossible to know until complicated geotechnical inspections have been finalised.

Across the state several major regional highways are closed due to landslides.

About 120 kilometres of the Oxley Highway between Walcha and Yarras, inland from Port Macquarie, is closed due to landslides.

Further north, almost 20 kilometres of Waterfall Way is closed between Bellingen and Dorrigo.

Jenolan Caves Road in the Central Tablelands is also blocked due to slope instability and debris.
